Wind Empowerment is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, registered with the Charity Commission of England and Wales.
Everything we do is governed by two documents;
- Our Constitution – covering the high level legal requirements we are obliged to comply with, to serve the best interests of our members and the public.
- Our Charter – which outlines our guiding principles and the day-to-day processes and considerations that allow us to operate effectively.
Generally, we do not change our Constitution frequently – the laws are set and we are required to follow them. The Charter however, is subject to a review cycle every two years, to ensure that the document reflects how we operate, and to ensure that wherever possible we improve to be more effective, sustainable, transparent and accountable whilst working towards our guiding principles. When our charter is reviewed, we consult with our membership to ensure that any changes are made in their best interests.
